Status as of October 16, 2026. Early adoption is permitted for most of these updates; dates for entities other than public business entities are usually one year later. "Interim periods within" means the first 10-Q of the effective year applies the update. SAB 74 (SAB Topic 11.M) asks registrants to disclose the expected impact of standards issued but not yet adopted – evaluate materiality and applicability for each. Read each ASU for scope, transition and early-adoption terms.
For non-calendar fiscal years
Effective dates are tied to the start of your fiscal year. Example: for a June 30 year-end, "annual periods beginning after December 15, 2026" first applies to the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2027 – the first 10-Q is for the quarter ending September 30, 2027.
